I have become interested in researching my family lines and have enjoyed learning about my ancestors! Some of the family names are Page, Kortzman, Fausett, Muhlestein, Payne, Montgomery, Kendall, Semple, Logsdon, Boyd, and Mellen. If you think you may be related, send me an email. I would like to get in touch and share information.

RE: Loren Fowler and Jennie Hicks
Well, this was meant to be, I think. I definitely would. Their daughter Rachel is still living, over 90. I would take it to her. Her home burned in a fire, and I know they lost many photos. This must be from a cousin of theirs. I will know, because I am a cousin. I wouldn't doubt if my own family would be in the photos. Thank you so much!

Loren Fowler and Jennie Hicks
Hi Tiffany, I saw the beautiful pix of Loren and Jennie. They were good friends and cousins to my grandparents. Their daughter presided at my wedding. Are you related?

RE: Lloyd, Ruth & Francis Page
No, not really. Of course, I have known Clyde for many, many years. My husband was born and raised here in Whitetail, so he knew most of Ruth and Lloyd's kids, but Zola was quite a bit younger than him.

You are very welcome. I knew that someone had requested a picture, but I failed to keep your name. I knew Lloyd and Ruth for many, many years. They were great people!

I hope you don't mind, but I have added the Page's headstone to Lloyd, Ruth and Francis' page.

RE: Thomas Mellen Photo
No, I'm not related and will be glad to transfer the memorial if you like. I try to honor Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers whenever I find them - they often returned from war paupers and have unmarked graves, and that saddens me. I'm glad to help!

RE: Thomas Mellen Photo
You're welcome. He was buried next to his son Robert, with whom he lived in his declining years. I suspect there are other members of that family group there, but without headstones. Thomas was a Revolutionary war soldier of some note who wrote a much quoted account of the Battle of Bennington, where he fought. You can find that account in the History or Newbury, VT, or if you like, I can copy it and e-mail it to you. Happy hunting,
