Ida Mayo Maddox
Lipford Cemetery, Marianna, Jackson County, Florida

Ida was the daughter of Philip BUT not the daughter of Caledonia. Caledonia was Philip's second wife. His first wife was Melinda Melissa Laramore. She was born in 1863 and died in 1894.

You can check the dates using he date of the birth of the daughter, Ida. She was born in 1884. Caledonia's birth date was 1874.

Thought you might like to correct this. I have found this information on a family tree in Ancestry. If fits.

Thank you.

Connection
Jack the headstone for Artie Porter in Lipford Cemetery, he died in 1986. Do you know a connection to our family. Like who were his parents, or spouse?

Ruby Porter
Hi Jack, need your help again, you did Dorothy Porter's headstone, I have her sister Ruby Porter, died as a small child also, I would assume she is near Dorothy Porter, both headstones were small and names just signed in cement with a stick, before it set up.. Do you have a picture in your file of hers. thanks Jack for your time and help.

Mayo
Jack you sent me a message wanting to know about America Mayo Griffin.
America Mayo and John Sidney Mayo were TWINS they were children of Rebecca Maddox & unknown Mayo, from family info he died and she was pregnant with the Twins, Jame Britton Porter married her and they raised the twins along with their children. The twins kept the name Mayo. If you look at my tree you will see that Rebecca and James Britton Porter also had a set of Twins Littie and Liddie Porter, along with my grandfather Jess James Eliwalker Porter. .
I hope this info will help others in their research, to understand why the 2 had different names.
