I thought it was such a hoot !

I would be happy to transfer anyone, other than family, to you. I want to see them with family and friends that love them and can take care of the memorials. Just contact me. And you are very welcome to use my marker photos in your family tree without asking, but my curiosity would like to know which ones are being used.

A special thank you to Tom C for supplying information on Oakwood Cemetery residents. We worked together to enter every name from the cemetery records up through December 2013 to hopefully help you in your search. Thanks Tom!

And a big thanks to af who researched and provided dozens and dozens of obituaries. That's the best collaboration.

I am working on Onondaga Valley Cemetery. I have entered all names and have photographed sections 1-17. I am identifying those missing a marker so that you will know. It is a work in progress.

RE: Sarah Davis # 2
Sorry to have added to the confusion. My only sources are hints on They show 7 Oct 1817 repeatedly, but there are a lot of copycats like me. It sounds like you have better sources.

BTW, she married Thomas Davis, my wife's 3rd cousin 4 times removed. Are you two related? Feel free to use my email address, or this message format.

Cheers, Dick Gates, b. 1937

The traditional 6th year wedding anniversary gift would be "iron", but I'd rather just send you a big THANK YOU for your six years of dedication to Findagrave and for being a wonderful person to work with. Thank you,

Mary Jendruch Zehala # 102809583
Diane, was the memorial for Mary Jendruch Zehala # 14580754 a burial unknown or a memorial in the wrong cemetery until recently ? Why am am asking is there has been a headstone picture on my memorial since 3/04/2015 and that would indicate the other memorial for Mary was not in this cemetery until recently. If this is not the case then two different contributors missed the # 14580754 memorial ? Thanks... Michael

Dear Diane: Thank you for all your work. William A Needham 1776- ? is my 4th great grandfather. I was very interested to see your memorial for his brother, Gordon Needham says William was buried in Onadago County. Do you have any source for that? I am looking for all info about William, including his wife, mother of my 3rd G Grandmother, Amelia Needham Baldwin. Thank you for all your work!

I was surprised to read that you have no relatives in NY, you have done so much to help families that DO have NY relatives locate them. Completing Oakwood Cemetery is a major undertaking, I get turned around most times that I go there. It is a lovely spot. I know I speak for many when I say "thank you".

Thank you for the Taft transfers.

Also, how great to notice you have compiled a listing of Civil War nurses in your virtual cemetery category. That is fantastic!
