|Barbara Hanno||York graves|
Hi Donna, I was just at the Randall cemetery a few days ago and I didn't see any York graves. It is very small and there are blank areas that might indicate burials with stones that were lost or never there. There are also several severely deteriorated stones and some are just "rocks". I venture to guess that maybe the Yorks are among the gravestones that can't be located or read, or could they be buried elsewhere?
This is just my surmise, so I would check with local historians.
Best wishes Barbara Hanno
One of your requests was sent to me which I can't honor as I'm just not able to hunt and hunt in cemeteries because of walking problems. The real reason I'm writing is your name caught my attention. Is Walling your married name? Our Walling line was in Oswego Co. for awhile before settling in the Butternut Valley of NY. Many of them are buried at the Butternut Valley Cemetery (Burlington). There are many of them listed in Find a Grave. My Gr Grandmother Elizabeth Walling Freel is there as well as her parents Stephen and Olive (McLaughlin)Walling. Just in case you were looking for any Walling lines. Good luck. Donna
