Bio and Links
Bio Photo My home is Fort Payne, AL. I grew up there, graduated high school in 1961 went off to college and the Air Force. Returned home after retiring from the Air Force in 1991 and the Postal Service in 2006.
If there are photos needed in DeKalb County or near by, please do not fail to ask.

If anyone wants copies of the original photos, before being cropped, I'll be glad to provide them just give me an email address to send them too. The photos that I post can be used by family of the memorial as they want.

Also if you find any errors in my post, please let me know so that I can correct them.

When asking for a memorial transfer, PLEASE PLEASE use "Edit" then "Suggest A Correction" instead of posting message here. Thanks

Thank you for trying to find her headstone, I'm not related to her, but I found her family members buried at a cemetery that is closest to my house, Lakewood Memory Gardens West in Tiftonia, TN.

Whitehall, Pine Grove UMC, New Home Baptist, Lee's Chapel Independent Baptist Cemeteries
Thanks so much for taking and posting the photos of the headstones for John William Shankles at Whitehall Cemetery, Kaylor Buel Mays at Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Verlon Orville Culver and Charlie D Cheatwood at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery, and Gertrude Bonner Baker at Lee's Chapel Independent Baptist Cemetery. I really appreciate it.

As far as Lois Ann Cheatwood Mays goes, it's possible she's buried next to her first husband Robert Hoyt Blackburn under Blackburn instead of Mays. I may add that info to my photo request in the hopes that that's where she is. I appreciate your effort to find her marker.

claims
I've noticed you've claimed all the request in NE AL with the exception of Pea Ridge Cemetery. Do you know something about the Pea Ridge CEmetery that prevented you from making the claim, and not worth my effort to search for the stone, or did you just overlook this one...or perhaps its new.

Thank you for any info you can provide.
