I grew up in the St. Louis area and return often to research my family.
I am also adding records for Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Tomball, Texas as part of my duties as a member of the Cemetery staff. We are checking all the Find A Grave Memorials to update the memorials to add information and correct when necessary.
My family names are Schultz, Reuter, Buddemeyer, Helmich, May, Tice, Wille and many more.

Fred May error
I believe you may have a gross error in regard to the parents of Fred August May, born 28 Apr 1875, (Memorial# 103685444). I am researching Frederick May and his wife Elizabeth Abisher. They had a son born in Pin Oak, Madison, IL, in 1875 (See 1880 census). William and Elizabeth (Wittmer) May, had a son, Albert born 15 Mar 1875, but no Fred (See census). The 1900 census shows Fred in the household of William and Elizabeth May, but he is listed as a boarder, not as a son, as Henry is listed. I believe William May is possibly an uncle to Fred May.
If I am incorrect please show me where.
Sincerely,
Gary A. Lieder

Thank you for the information. I will add it to his memorial. I did have a photo of his headstone and for the life of me, I don't know why I did not add it to his memorial. I will search my computer files when I get home and see if I still have the photo.

If you had not sent me the info to add, I would not have known that I had missed putting the photo on.

I get so many messages, that I can't recall having a problem with this one, so if I have given you any grief because of this memorial, I apologize.

Thank you for your patience.

RE: Spelling of name
Hi,

Would you happen to have a memorial number for the one you are talking about please? I searched my memorials and do not have a hoffman or hoffmann so I'm not sure what we are referring to.
Thanks.

I received a correction to change the name to Shirley and see that you have added an additional photo with that spelling. Are there any records to determine the actual spelling of her name since there are two stones with two different spellings? I will hold this correction until I hear back from you. Thanks.
