I found out that Mary Dean is buried by her brothers, (Spivey) in an unmarked grave. Same as her mother. I plan on going Monday. I was all claimed out. Find A Grave will only allow me 20 claims. Mack Wicker has been a lot of help with the unmarked graves. Hope you are fine.

RE: Samuel W. Whitaker
Not sure where Samuel and Emma are buried, but they married in Surry on 20 Aug 1893. This is per Surry County, NC - Marriage Records, Book C, page 3929. Samuel age 19 and Emma age 20; married by Noah L. Fulk, Methodist minister, at home of bride's father, Michael Draughn. Witnessed by J. M. Flinchum and J. M. Whitaker, both of Pilot Mountain, and William Brim of Siloam.

Samuel's father Andrew Jackson Whitaker was a brother to Abram Whitaker, from whom I descend.
