I believe that memorials on this website should be established to aid family members in paying tribute to their relatives and to aid in genealogical research. At no time will I ever deny transferring a memorial to a family member to "keep my numbers from being lowered". If you are in the FAG guidelines, I will transfer.
Please state how you are related with all transfer requests.Along with your FAG ID #.I will also transfer out side of FAG guidelines as long as activliy putting on memorials but if it appears you are only collecting family #'s then i reserve the right to refuss.

I love doing this and my sister-in-law and I can do a grave yard in record time...We do a lot of our photographing of cemeteries together. And as she puts it we are like locusts. We hit a cemetery and eat it up.

I love to get all information from anyone to make the memorial better so please feel free to contact me with any suggestions. Except if you do not have an E-mail, or do not let people comment on your profile or give any way for me to contact you back then please do not make suggestions. I say this because if I have a question about the information I need some way to contact you. I will not blindly put on something that I have concerns about.

******Please use Edit tab on upper right hand side of memorial for all transfer request and all corrections. This makes it so much easier for me. PLEASE DO NOT add the info in the "Leave Flowers & a Note" section, this looks tacky. This should be used for love & sympathy notes not bio. Use the "edit" tab and I will gladly add your information in the memorial. ******

Are you related to Richard Newcomb? He was my grandfather. I noticed you did a memorial for John Wesley Newcomb, who was my grandfather's brother.

Teresa, I found a copy of her death certificate on Ancestry and her name was Taltha Anthaline Moss, born in Clay County, NC, and daughter of David Moss and Elizabeth Ledford. Her son, James P "Sugg" Murphy, gave the information. He was the father of many of the Murphys buried at Shady Grove, with Julia Roberts being his wife.

Great job on his memorial! He was one of the very best among us.Our mutual doc, also a former submariner who served with Sandy, saw him to harbor and eased his last days.

Thanks for correcting my correction. LOL. I type before I think sometimes.

Eleazer -lack of headstones
I know that a lot of this cemetery is documented by books and many stones are missing or unreadable. Has this cemetery been vandalized or were many buried without stones?

Sarah Peels
The Sarah Peels you have as a daughter of John Heeren Frerichs and his wife, Sarrah Jane Elizabeth Dorsey Frerichs is in fact the daughter of Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Frerichs Fowler Sneed Smith, the older couple's eldest daughter. Sarah used Frerichs and Sneed both as her maiden name. I'm unsure of who her birth father was. She was my great grandfather's sister.

Rev. Robert L. Hilten
Would you please consider transferring my cousin's memorial to me? He and his wife, Sarah Frances Lenoir Hilten, were very close friends with my grandparents who raised me. Uncle Bob & Aunt Sarah and I were quite fond of each other. I would certainly appreciate it. Thank you, Jill
