Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Dalton GA with my family and have been an avid genealogists for over 25 years. Semper Fi to all my Fellow Marines out there !!!

If I have entered a family member of yours and you would like to manage the site, please let me know and I will be happy to transfer it to you. I will transfer ANY of your relatives to you - Aunts, Uncles, Distant Cousins, Etc... If you are requesting a transfer, please use the "Suggest A Correction Form" on the Memorial Page you want transferred. I will transfer any memorial that I am not related to. Please if you have correction or you want a transfer YOU HAVE TO USE THESE STEPS - Go to the memorial - TOP RIGHT - EDIT - ADD A SUGGESTION - add information you want added or link to spouse and parents - you have to list the memorial numbers to link.

If I have entered anything incorrectly, please let me know.

My pictures are your pictures. Feel free to beg, borrow, steal with no intent to return. I take pictures of headstones out of kindness ... not for my ego or for the "numbers."

PET PEEVE: Find A Grave "number" collectors who have no interest in genealogy or family links and refuse to transfer to relatives unless they meet so-called "findagrave guidelines". Shame on you! and... what's up with these "photo copy rights" - you got to be kidding me !!! Why put a photo out on the Internet and then say you have to ask permission. Really....

I assume you have not found Kansas Jenkins Davis in the cemetery you have been recording.

Warren Davis's gravestone
We appreciate you for providing us and many others descendants of Mr. Davis a photo of his grave stone. I know that the West Hill Cemetery is very large and challenging to find a particular grave.

RE: Hyer Requests - West Hill Cemetery
Hi Ken!

WOW - you're fast too - uploading those photos before I can get the rest of the story done! LOL!

Regarding Josie Hyer Jones (the mother) - she is listed as:
Sarah Josephine "Josie" Hyer Jones.
Her husband, Iverson Alfonso Jones died in AR and is buried there by his 2nd wife. Thanks for keeping an eye out. By doing so - you have answered/solved several mysteries.

Olive Zachry was enumerated on the Schedules of Defective, Dependent, and Delinquent Classes records. I had no idea when/where she had actually died. She lived with one family member and another over the years. She is a sister to Elizabeth Saphronia Zachry Hyer who was married to John Henry Hyer Sr (1830-1913) the oldest Hyer in the group you have posted today. His marker is broken and laying flat on the ground. He is/was a CSA veteran - wonder if I can get a CSA marker placed and still have the old marker left in the cemetery? Hmmm ... something to ponder.

I have been blessed with your kindness and generosity weekend. Thank you so much.

Best Regards,
Sarah

RE: Hyer Requests - West Hill Cemetery
Hi Ken!

Since I'm very anxious to get the memorials onto FindAGrave, I will add them today. I will not be able to do photo requests again until Wednesday. I hope that will not be a problem for you. At least you already have the photos taken.

This is just great!

Blessing to You!
Sarah
