I'm a 39 yr old mother of two teenage kids, a girl and a boy, and a wife of 17 years. I started several years ago on Ancestry.com and have been hooked ever since. Finding find a grave was a blessing to me so my newest hobby is going and taking pictures of headstones to enter for others. My favorite sections are the really old ones with the beautiful monuments and the small humble ones too. My downfall is when I go to enter them in I tend to spend a lot of time (lately)getting on Ancestry.com trying to come up with a bio for them. I'm realizing that if I want to get much done, I'll have to quit that.

To suggest corrections/additions...
1. Go to the memorial page and click on the "Edit" tab
2. click on "Suggest a correction or provide additional information"
Transferring memorials
If there is someone who I've submitted to findagrave who is a closer relative to you, or a good friend, I would be happy to turn their memorial over to you if you ask as most of the the memorials I have entered are NOT in MY family tree. To do that, follow the same directions above (for submitting a correction) and just send me a request to transfer.

not sure. last census was the 1920 in arenac, i went there a few weeks ago and searched the courthouse records, twp records and cemeterys they are not there, did the same for bay county, i am figuring they may have went to live with one of the daughters, mary hunter or jessie both were in flint. jessie is also buied in this cemetery where mary is. Geo and sarah would have been in thier 80's in 1920. | | | Carol Chambers

Thank you so much for the effort. it is wonderfull that you took pictures of the lot where she is buried.. by chance you didnt happen to write down who elses tomb stones where in the plot? i am looking for a few others of her family including her parents geo and sarah Mitchell reese.I have been hunting for the death and burials for nearly 5 yrs and have not been able to find them.. thank you again carol | | | cherokee

Do you know the exact DOB & DOD? FindaGrave and the Nationwide Gravesite Locator has DOB 3-31-1916 and DOD 03-15-1981. However, if you notice, the headstone reads DOB: 03-30-1916 and DOD: 03-25-1983, which is quite a difference. I'm imagining the error in on the headstone but I don't know for sure. I have sent an edit to the Veterans Administration to check the dates but maybe if you know the correct ones, you could send them an edit also.
I also took a photo of his wife's headstone, Dana Glynn Reed.
You can always request a transfer from the VA by requesting in the "edit" tab and giving your member number and stating they are family. Then you can maintain the information yourself and add obituaries.
