I would like to correct much of what you have written about Daniel Burton Graham. While I do not pretend to be an expert on this Ancestor I have done a great deal of research and find that several statements are not correct. His first wife was Resina Wilkins. They were married in Lamar County, Texas not North Carolina. He was still a single man when he applied for a 3rd class land grant through Nacagodches County, Texas in September of 1839 and qualified to search for 320 acres the amount that would have been alloted a single man. He did not marry Resina until 26 May 1846.
I do very much appreciate your putting the grave picture on this sight. My cousin, Jeanette and I, both descendants of Daniel's daughter, Mary Catherine worked long and hard to get the Texas Historical marker there.
I also enjoyed the story even though it did have several inaccuracies.
The headstone reads, "Died April, 11, 1841" but the notes say the year 1827. Is there an explanation to go with this?

John Turner Hudson had another son named Peyton Clark Hudson. Peyton Clark Hudson and my mother were friends as children in Auburn. He is also buried in the same cemetery.

OK I found what you are talking about and I can delete the web page... and post the picture on yours, you need to fix the Name and dates on it... And they are not related to me... I have a couple requests for that cemetery that I have been trying to find and just take pictures as I go...totsie

Greetings. Are you speaking of John Turner Hudson (1881 - 1952), who owned a grocery in Auburn for many years? I hope so, because I have some good things to share about him. Bill
