Hartwells in Hubbardston
Many thanks for your message.
You have permission to copy my Hartwell gravestone photos for your family research. I've now added 2 more Hartwell memorials for Pine Grove Cem: Edward Alonso (#126351401) & Mary E. Young (#126351538) -- perhaps you also will find these helpful.
I would be glad to transfer my Hartwell memorials to you for your genealogical research, except (for now) my cousins Lucy F. Waite & Roxa Sargeant. Let me know....

Wow! That was fast.
Hi Clair,

That has to be the fastest transfer in history. Thanks so very much for your kindness.

And if you've got ancestors in mid-Vermont, just let me know. I spend a month there each summer and "do cemetery" nearly every day. I'd be happy to get a photo for you.

RE: Dr. Selah Gridley
Hello Clair,

Thanks so much for your generosity. I'm technically not entitled to ask for the transfer of Selah Gridley's memorial because I'm not directly related to him. But I've been researching the early families of Poultney, VT for years, and my husband, whose family has been in Poultney for eight generations is kissing cousins with nearly everyone.

If you'd be willing to transfer the memorial, I'd be very grateful.

My membership # is: 46951416

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

RE: Thank you for the photos ...
You are so welcome. =] I hope to get back over there and take another one after I prune around it. =]

RE: Adams grave markers in First Parish Burying Ground
Oh I have been there. I think I've been to all of the cemeteries great and small in northern and central Essex County, and most in the southern tier too.

Hi Clair,

Yes you may use the photos in your tree with proper credit given of course. I took some new photos at the cemetery just last week but have not uploaded as of yet, so check back now and then. We were on an all-day graving expedition in the Newburys.

Good luck in your research!

Beulah Hosmer Hartwell's parents
Thanks you for giving me this information. I actually knew this and had it in my notes but hadn't disconnected her from Nathan and Beulah so I am glad you caught this. I changed her findagrave page and added your message so others who see this will be aware of the Hartwell book's error too. And glad to meet another Hartwell relative! My mother's maiden name was Chase but should have been Hartwell as her great grandfather Henry Hartwell was adopted/raised by a Chase family.
