RE: Edit for James Thomas
Hi, Lot#13 (12'X6') is where John H Stuart (Stewart) and Wife Phebe are buried. Their daughter Eliza Stuart married George Hall. Their daughter May (Hellen Mae) Hall married Truman B Thomas.
I agree, James may not be buried next to Mary. He may be buried with Hannah whom he spent some 38 years with. I do not know where Hannah is buried.
To find if James died in Grove, I suggest that you call the Grove Township Clerk: Susan Morris (585-476-2214). Sue can tell you if James died in Grove and may be buried in Swain. If so, she can provide you with a Transcript from the register of deaths.

RE: Edit for James Thomas
I obtained the dates from the Gay-Naegely family Tree on Some of the dates can be found on the 1900 US Census under the name of James C Thomas,N.Y.
It appears that James C was a blacksmith in Swain and lived with his son Truman & family his latter Years. Truman worked for the Railroad.
I suggest that you remove the front panel on the grave monument to see if any information may be stored there.
Being that you are familiar with the Swain Hill Cemetery, would you happen to have a Plot # diagram? I am trying to find the location Plot # 13.

RE: Find A Grave Correction: Mary Marriner

Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I put the memorial in as I am slowly adding all the entries from the burial book (slowly because I keep researching each one); however I did not want to jump to conclusions and make it John, especially without a death date. It does seem likely to me, but I figured you would have more info and better input. If you do conclude that it is John, let me know and I will change it - I'd be happy to transfer him over to you also.

John & Elizabeth (Hood) Price.
Thank You for your update info. They are my Grandparents. I called the Olivet Memorial Park direct and he told me they had a name change and was going to get back to me with a confirmation... but didn't call back.
My confusion was their Death Certificate and the fact that the cemeteries had different physical addresses.
I will change my info to the correct cemetery. Thank You again!

Thanks so much for clearing that up. There are two cemeties with similar names, but one of them is a Catholic cemetery north of San Francisco.
