RE: Arvan Dale Madlem
Thanks for the information Pat. Are you a relative? I met Leta one time in the late 1970's but I thought her name was Ruby. Am I wrong or was Ruby a nickname?

Samuel Pollock info
In the published diary of Covenanter preacher John Cuthbertson, a travelling minister, he notes that he performed baptisms for two daughters of Samuel Pollock (Pollogh) at Lower Chanceford (York County, PA):
Grizzell - March 27, 1771
Jean - April 16, 1777

Because of the sporadic visitations of the preacher, the children could have been born days, months, or years before they were baptized. This conflicts with the published story, and should be noted.

RE: Samuel Pollock
Amazing! Thank you so much. I have been searching for information of my grandmother's family for quite a while. I only found out a short time ago that her sister, Edna M. Johnston Irwin was a member of the DAR and thus my relationship to Samuel Pollock. He would be my g-g-g-g grandfather. His daughter Grizella is my g-g-g grandmother.

I don't really know where to begin. You are the first of any relation I have found on my grandmother's line. Where are you located? I am currently in VA. Do we email? Use snail mail? Anything that suits would be please me.

Thank you for responding so quickly.

Samuel Pollock
I am doing research into my father's maternal family. I believe that this Samuel Pollock is my grandfather 3 times removed. Are you doing genealogy research into this line? If so, perhaps we could chat.
