I am a New Zealand Morey Researcher For thirty three years, I have been doing a one name study for the surname Morey of 238 spellings. Morey is a Saxon Shore name mainly Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, and Devon. The main Morey Clan in North America is known as KLN RI Roger. The family was from Drimpton, Dorset, England arriving in New England in 1628 on the Abigail from Weymouth and landing at Naumkeag. 60% of American Moreys are KLN RI Roger and 30% are KLN RI George. My Moreys were from Havant, Hampshire, England and arrived in Auckland in 1864
