Martha Sick / Gloe
Yes, I do see things match here with Martha. Info I have found through a quick search is scant.

I did see something on wife / mom Martha which piqued my interest. I guess you may know something abut this, but please check here under "Relationship to Head of Household:

Alfred Sick
Hi Kristi,

Thanks for dropping a line.

Your message: I added Alfred's parents. Are you related? Reinhold and Martha actually had 5 children. You already have their infant daughter with them. Anna, Alfred, and Harry are in the Hooper Cemetery. Then they also had Martha (born in 1902.) Have not found her yet. Alfred and Minnie are my great grand uncle and aunt."

You mention that they had a fifth child, a daughter named Martha. I have added this fact in the bio section of Reinhold's memorial. Never know who may read and step forward with additional info. Thanks for providing that detail.

I have requested edits to join the known children to their parents. I see this has been accomplished for Anna and Alfred. I have linked the Infant to her parents from your info, and Harry's edit is pending.

No, sorry, not related. Simply adding details into the database, and I try to add a bit more when I can. I hope Martha can be located. Do you have any further details about her, such as a married name? Maybe I can help.

Thanks again,
Sheila

HI Kristi,
I am related to the Folkers. My maternal grandmother comes from Folkers. Anna Hiller Huffman's first husband John Folkers is my 1st cousin 3 x removed... LOL... not exactly close.

RE: Peter King
That would be great!! He served in Co K, 4th Iowa Infantry. I have his Civil War diaries, and I am trying to get time to transcribe them and get them up on the web. Wish I didn't have to work for a living!

Correct, he has no marker of any kind. I've been meaning to get a GAR marker, but have not yet done that.
