I was born in PA. I was raised in NJ working as a nurse until I was hit by an ambulance. I was married to a great man who was killed in 2002. It was then that I moved to Tulsa, Ok. I lived there for 8 years, moving back to my home state of NJ in August 2011.I was living in Seaside Heights, NJ, 2 blocks from the ocean, when I lost the entire contents of my house and car due to Superstorm Sandy. I moved to Broken Arrow, Ok, in November 2012. I have met many wonderful people here and I appreciate you all. Thank you to all who leave flowers and kind words. APRIL 29 IS THE 6 MONTH ANNIVERSARY OF HURRICANE SANDY. WHILE FEMA HAS HELPED SOMEWHAT, THERE ARE MANY WHO ARE STILL HAVING ISSUES WITH THE GOVERNMENT TO TRY AND RECOVER. PLEASE REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR ALL WHO LOST THEIR ENTIRE WORLD DURING THAT HORRIBLE STORM. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE PRAYED AND HELPED THE KIDS AND I. IT MEANS MORE THAN I COULD SAY, YOUR FRIENDSHIPS MEAN THE WORLD TO ME! MUCH LOVE, COLLEEN ON MAY 2 I FOUND A LUMP ON MAX. HE WAS JUST AT THE VET LAST WEEK FOR HIS CHECK UP AND SHOTS. HE IS ABOUT TO TURN 9 AND I CAN'T BEAR THE THOUGHT THAT WE MIGHT LOSE ANOTHER PRECIOUS PET. PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM AND ME. I APPRECIATE IT!

Thanks Colleen for your kind words of sympathy. It's been horrible for me, but I know I have to keep on going and that's what I'm trying to do little by little. It's said that the worse thing that can happen to a mother is to lose a child, and sweetie, I can honestly tell you it is. The sadness, the pain, and sorrow comes from so deep inside you, that I think it is why is so hard to get over it. In fact, I don't think one can ever get over that at all. You just learn to accept it. I'm still working on his memorial, as soon as it's ready I'll let you know. Colleen, It's still hard to believe my precious daddy is gone... Thank you for touching my heart with your kind note. It meant a lot to me!! I want to say also thank you, thank you, thank you.. for always remembering my family by leaving notes and flowers. I am sorry I have not been at Find A Grave except to add another family member or friend. I know God has a special place in Heaven for people that are so giving and caring, as you are!
