Lawson Cemetery
Do you have directions to the Lawson Cemetery in Sunflower Co, MS. You seemed to have entered all the memorials.

Thomas W (Monday) Mondy 55400545
Hi Yvonne,

I want to thank you also for posting Thomas Mondy's memorial. I have just found out I am distantly related through his mother's second husband, Louis (Lewis) Jackson. I discovered this through the 1870 Census record showing him as a stepson to Lewis Jackson. Your memorial showed me who his father was. His mother was Mary E Ward (Monday) Jackson. Her memorial # is 19125939. If you would, please link her to Thomas's memorial so that other researchers will know who both of his parents were.

RE: Mondy
Thank you. My grandparents (Foster) attended Wesley Church for many, many years. I visited there often as a child.

I wonder if my grandmother ever knew that she was distantly related to the Mondys buried there. She probably did know.

My family is in the process of finding out all we can about Lou Ella Mondy Walker's family, Her mother was Louretta Goodwin and we believe her father was Rubin Mondy, brother of Caroline Mondy Beatty. I've seen references to Caroline's bible and would like to know if there is more information recorded there about Rubin and his ancestors. According to the 1860 death schedules, he died in Jackson Parish in Jul 1859 of brain fever.

I wonder if the Beatty family knows more about Rubin and Louretta and their two children, Lou Ella and John William Mondy.

Lou Ella died very young but named her first son Rubin. Lou Ella had only one child, out of four, who survived to adulthood...Allie Aucoin Walker Brown.

Thanks again!
