I am looking for Folds, too
Hello Donna
I'm looking for some Folds, too!
My great grandfather, James Fredrick Yeldell, married Mary Jane Bunn Folds. She was a widow and we only know that she was married to a Mr. Folds. She had two sons, Walter Folds and William Folds.

James Fredrick Yeldell and Mary Jane Bunn Folds Yeldell are both buried in the Mer Rouge Cemetery, Morehouse Parish, Louisiana.

Walter Folds is buried in Bartholomew Cemetery, Morehouse Parish, Louisiana. I think another Folds is buried in Bartholomew, also.

If you check out these three memorials, you will read the history that came down to me. I'd love to find out WHO Mr. Folds was and where is William? I've not had much help with the census.

If you can give me any clues, I'd appreciate it.

Yeldell - Folds - connection
Hi, I'm Bonnie Sisson Manning, born & raised in Morehouse Parish Louisiana. I've been tracking Yeldells for quite a while. We may have a great grandmother in common, Mary Jane Bunn Folds Yeldell.

Mary Jane Bunn was born in 1853 - I'm not sure when she married a Mr. Folds. He died and then she married her sister, Matilda Elizabeth's, widower, James Fredrick Yeldell (my great grandfather).

Mary Jane had two sons by Mr. Folds - William and Walter. Beyond this I know nothing. Do you have any info you'd be willing share?

Mary Jane Bunn Folds Yeldell is buried in the Mer Rouge Cemetery in Morehouse Parish.

RE: Barnhill Oak Grove Cem.
Hello:

Yes, most of the barnhill markers are enclosed in a low concrete wall around them.

Eunice Barnhill
Donna:

Laying face down near the other Barhill marker is a large maker with "Mother" on top. Unable to read the face if this marker and too large to setup. It maybe Eunice's marker.

Barnhill Oak Grove Cem.
Donna:

I am adding the Barnhills that I found in the Oak Grove Cem. Converse, Sabine Parish. Their appears to be some problems with names and dates. Please check to see if I have the correct marker to the persons listed.

Thanks Jerry

RE: Barnhill
Donna,
My intentions were good, I assure you, but it appears I cannot resolve an issue about this duplicate made in error. This is what I will do:
1) I must delete my memorial for William since it came second.

2) All historical Barnhill data belonging to me, will be sent to you, including any for William's close relations.

I am sorry for this confusion. Perhaps you will have better luck in getting a trasnfer or at least, an update.

Barnhill
Hello Donna,
I am working on combining some duplicated memorials for Barnhill family members that are not closely related to me or mine. Once the memorials are combined and updated, would you like me to transfer them to you?

RE: Old Shady Grove cemetery
You are so welcome. This does not mean that Mr. Folds marker is not there. It could be covered up with leaves, limbs, trees, etc. I listed the names I did find. I don't know if you are related to any of them.

RE: photo request for Old Shady Grove
Hi Donna:
Yes I can tell you about how for apart Shady Grove and Old Shady Grove Cemetery are. Shady Grove is located on Hwy 127 and Old Shady Grove is located off of Hwy 1238. They are about 6 to 8 Miles apart. Old Shady Grove is behind A fence in area where people come in to deer hunt. I had to get some one to take me back to the Cemetery. I am sorry I could not be more help to you. Did you see the cemetery photo I took of the Cemetery. It is sad to see something like these. This peopl will be forgatten before long.
