George Packwood
Shame on me for not sourcing where my burial info came from. I tried a quick search to try to recall - or find it - but I haven't yet. Grrr....

There is an Orange Hill Cemetery here in Orlando, but I doubt Mr. Packwood would have been buried there since it was for the county home paupers.

The pic came from a book on Maitland history...so I must have seen he was buried there...somewhere. I can't imagine I'd just willy-nilly stick him there without being reasonably certain.

If you can nail down that his burial is elsewhere, I'll delete it. If you'd be so kind as to send me the obit, I'll add it and make a note that the burial location in Maitland may be incorrect and that further research is being done to determine the correct spot.

Found an interesting article about his daughter's suicide in NYC while doing my quick search...I'm on the way out the door so didn't have much time to dig in...

RE: Mt Zion Cemetery
Did you get your notifications on the Overstreets? I told you I wouldn't give up until I found them.

RE: Mt Zion Cemetery
I think I answered my own question sending you the first question. I kept hunting in the Dade City area and found the location of your request, but that is it. There are no markers of any kind on those two graves. Mary Overstreet is located in Section 21 Lot 28 and John is next to her in Lot 29. I walked that area more than once and there are not many other markers there either. They also have a section of very old graves with no markers left on them.

Are you the one that was looking for Overstreet?

RE: Mt Zion Cemetery
You are welcome and I am sorry that I couldn't find your relatives. The cemetery looks very unloved and in places the grass and weeds are so high they have overgrown anything beneath it. We could not find out who owns and takes care of it. I called the county seat and they told me records are kept by the people that own/maintain the grounds. Please resubmit your request because there may be someone that lives closer to Dade City that happens to know who to contact. We live in a very rural area and some of the cemeteries here are on family property, which may be the case here.

HICKEY GRAVE IN L.I.N.C.
Hi,
I got the picture you requested for Robert Hickey in L.I.N.C. He's buried with his wife Rose and John Francis (son?). I've added picture to both of their memorials as well.
Have a good one...
Glenn

Overstreet
We are having a problem locating Mary and John Overstreet at Mount Zion Cemetery, Dade City. I have tried calling Mount Zion Church to see if they have records and I will also contact the county to see if they might have records. The cemetery looks very unloved and many flat markers are covered. It could also be a possibility there wasn't a stone placed. We haven't given up. We have located several graves in Smith's Cemetery with the name Overstreet and I am wondering if they may possibly be someone you might be looking for. You can contact me at terribarry@msn.com and I will email pictures to you if you would like.
