Yes. On the cemetery survey it did list them as the parents.

I got the info from a survey that was done of New Bethel Church Cemetery in the early 80's. A group of people, the Northwest Georgia Historical & Genealogical Society surveyed just about all of the cemeteries in Floyd County in the early 80's. BTW, Damascus Baptist Church is less than a mile from this cemetery.

I would disagree. Henry Grady "Buster" Parks, Jr. and Aimee Southerland Parks share a tombstone at Mt. Pisgah, but it is inscribed as "Son" on one side and "Mother" on the other. His father, of course, was Henry Grady Parks, Sr.

Henry Grady Parks, Sr. and Aimee Southerland were married on April 14, 1935, in Gilmer County -- two years before Jr. was born.
