May I include a copy of your gravestone photo in my tree at Ancestry? I will list you as the photographer. Thank you, and thanks for creating Minnie's memorial.

Here is obit of Maria Jacobs, so I know she is buried at Oakwood. Who keeps the records for that cemetery? I was not able to find anyone who could tell me anything; only a group that sold burial plots.

Many many thanks for the photos of Mabel and George Robertshaw.
That was very nice of you.
|Helen Kidwell||Maria and Herbert C Jacobs|
Hi Jim, Got your message that you couldn't find records of Maria and Herbert being buried at Oakwood. Both obituaries state that is where they are. I found some Jacobs there but not Maria and Herbert. It is such a big cemetery I don't think I can walk it again.
Thanks anyway, Helen

Sorry there is no marker on this grave. The flowers in the photo indicate the location of the grave. When I went to the office to check for a burial date to give you a date to start further research I ran in to a problem. The death date was given as 8-17-1964 but the burial date was 7-12-1969. This might be possible if the person was a cremation but that information was not available at the office. This would explain the difference between the two dates. If you could find an obit it would give you the name of the funeral home where you could find out the information. I would check both dates for the obit remembering to check 2-3 days before burial date. Another explanation might be that the body had been moved from another cemetery. Good luck with the research.
|Mark Weitzel||Leonard Cooper|
I just added obit. info. for Harry J. Cooper at Chestnut Hill (memorial #80541736) and it mentions a brother, Leonard Cooper. Do you have any more info. that this Leonard may be his brother? It reads in the obit. that Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cooper lived in Niagara Falls, NY at the time of Harry's death (1941).
Thanks! Mark Weitzel
