I have been working on my family tree for quite a while and I have just learned about this site. I am hoping it will open up some new leads for me. I also hope to make new connections with distant relatives and be able to share old photo's and stories. Looking forward to all my new friends and leads.

I have recently begun to research my family, but am certainly willing to share and compare notes.
Your gg-grandmother Caroline (Sanford Flannigan Whitmore) Patterson would be my 1st cousin 3x removed.
If you have a moment and are still interested, I would love to hear from you.

I found a marker for Lazarus Henson. The birth year and death date are a little off from what you provided. Please let me know if this is your person and if not, I will look again. I noticed your request was made quite some time ago so I hope this helps.

I was able to get a photo for Anthony and I also added the photo for John W. whose grave was next to Anthony.
Glad I could help

yes, I thought it might be like that as there were a line of Woods, right in the iddle of the cemetery.
|Denise Roffe||James Flanagan|
Hi There Jeanie... okay... a James F. Flanagan (1883-1937) appears in the earlier cemetery book surveyed some time in the 1970's. He is listed as having a headstone at Cumming Second Baptist. I was unable to locate his headstone today. But I'm not sure this is your guy given the middle initial is "F" and not "Z". If there is anything more I can do, please don't hesitate.

I'll definitely see what I can find out! When you come, it would be worth your time to visit the Bell Research Center and Historical Society. Both are located inside the Old School House in Cumming - http://www.bellresearchcenter.com/about.html Keep in mind that they're only open from 10-2 on weekdays and 10-5 on Sat. If anyone has done any research on the Flanagan line, they may have a file at the Historical Society. The Bell Research Center is a fantastic place for local research in general.
I didn't find James Z. Flanagan's name in the new Forsyth County Cemeteries book. But I can check some other resources. I'll get back to you!

Hi There Jeanie - I thought I would let you know that according to brand new cemetery book by John Salter (local historian), Luna F. Darby (1900-1980), Rev. William H. Flanagan (1908 - 18 Feb 1996), Mable R. Flanagan (1905 - 1968), and Savannah E. Flanagan (1884 - 1958) have all been moved over to Sawnee View Gardens. The cemetery isn't far from my home so I'll try to get photos this weekend.

You should ask a request to have this memorial transferred to you...as you are family, especially if you have info to add.
Our family lived in Leavenworth for 15 years before moving to AZ..
