RE: Snider/Lewis grave photos
Well that is too bad it has to be in person ... they don't seem very cooperative in helping people find their buried relatives.
Let me know if I can help you in the future!

RE: Snider/Lewis Graves at Glenwood
Glad to get you the pic and it's always sad when there is no stone.

Have a wonderful evening!

Snider/Lewis grave photos
It looks like another volunteer posted those pictures earlier today (not me) and apparently some of the graves are unmarked at that section/lot.

Let me know when you hear from George Washington Cemetery and I'll get those.

DC Photo Requests
Hello -
You have 4 photo requests in my area. I would be happy to do these for you if I had the plot information (section, lot, row, grave#, etc.).
If you could contact the two cemeteries (Glenwood & George Washington) and obtain that information, I will follow through.

P.S. I see that George Washington cemetery won't release that information unless you are a family member. Good luck!

Lucretia Cheek
Thanks so much for the edit suggestions re: Cheek(s). I'm assuming you are related somehow?

The following suggestion was helpful as I have been trying to determine the maiden name of Lucretia Cheek. From where did the info you provide come?

"Maiden name is Love. Married to William Sisson in Prince William County abt 1851. Lucretia moved to the District after William died in 1862. Her name in the District also appears as Cissell. Infant Sisson buried in R75/213 was most likely fathered by William Richard Cheek."

My email is

RE: Dr. Thomas Jefferson Fentress

I appreciate your contacting me about Dr. Fentress
and would certainly like a picture of him and of his gravesite. I will also correct his burial site, but first I want to make sure the site that you mention is not the "Fentress Family Cemetery" in Virginia Beach. On FindaGrave, it is described as:

Cemetery notes and/or description:
This family cemetery is located in the 2300 block of Salem Road. The graves are on the west side of Salem Road, under a grouping of trees, just north of Highland Meadows Way. The graveyard is just south of St. Luke's Catholic Church. The stones are in reasonably good condition given their age but the graveyard area is surrounded by dense brush that has been cut and pushed up into mounds and the graveyard itself needs to be cleaned and tended.
Until 1963 this part of Virginia Beach was then Princess Anne County.

Please send the pictures of him and his gravesite by email or snail mail to:

F. Terry Hambrecht (a.k.a., bioengineer)
14015 Manorvale Rd
Rockville, MD 20853

Is it O.K. with you if I post them with the memorial to Dr. Fentress on FindaGrave?

Regards, Terry
