RE: Goo Family History
Many years ago, about 1980, a Marjorie Rice was the town historian for the ciity of Delevan. I communicated with her and she was a very helpful person. Marjorie said that the first job she ever had was working for Hiram Goo. Also, that she and her brother were living in the Goo house!

Marjorie sent me some pictures of the Goo family, as well as the home she lived in. I believe she died around 1984 as I recall. As a relative of the Goo's, it was really neat to find someone with a relationship to the family.

There was a Charles Tory Goo who married Ellen Eunice Dillingham. Charles was in the lumber business with Hiram Goo. Supposedly Charles died and I would have assumed was buried in the area. However, I don't see that he iis listed as buried in the Delevan Cemetery. Do you know anything concerning Charles Tory Goo?

I am fine tuning my history of the Goo family and will provide you a copy. Thank you so much for responding to my email. I hope to visit your area one of these days as my history has a direct connection to Cattaraugus County.

Sincerely,

Larry Lundeen

Stocking Grave Photos
Thank you so much for the photo of the grave of my ancestors! I really appreciate it very much. My family is related to the Goo family that lived in Yorkshire Center and Delevan. At one time they owned a large cheesebox factory that employed about 95 people.

I would gladly send to the Yorkshire/Delevan Historian a copy of my family history if desired.

Thanks again!

Sincerely,

Larry Lundeen
