Thanks for the correction. I think when I added
the flowers I must have had the "fat finger" and
I had not gone back to the Oak Cemetery index to
view the new memorial. I glad that someone has
been looking at Oak here in Fort Smith as there
are many old grave sites. Some times, in the
original sections, the grave is listed but the
stone has been lost. anyway I did delete the
DUP and if you have need of a search in the
Fort Smith area, including the Fort Smith
National Cemetery, drop me a line.

Sorry about that, I got it backwards, she was 8 when her father was born.

Please note , I am working on my tree and came upon the find a grave information. She is my ggggrandmother and I have her parents as James and Catherine Chambers Newsom. The person you have listed as her father was only about 8 when she was born. Please check your records. Thanks

You have suggested I remove Ms. Allen's link to James Y. Allen and list her spouse as unknown. There appears to be documented reason to continue to link her to Ms. James Allen as a spouse.

I am appreciative of the other suggested corrections and have made them in accordance with your recommendations. Thank you for your help.

RE: Hausey Day #123829993
It appears that the date (year) I have entered may be in error. I received the date through another cemetery recorder and we all know about the potential for error when recording great numbers of tombstones.

However, in this case, since the year appears to be in doubt, I can not be sure that the year of death is 1930, 1931 --- or any year up to the next census. Accordingly, I have removed the year until verification can be had.

Thank you for your diligence in helping me. I certainly do not want to pass the error on to future researchers.

RE: Anna Aline Smith Baird
I am honored to transfer Mrs. Baird's memorial to you.

You are welcome to "thumb" through the memorials I have entered for other relatives and friends. If there are other memorials you would be interested in managing, I would be happy to move them to you, as long as they are outside those few to in whom I have a special interest. I never object to making a transfer to anyone who has a better reason to be sponsoring a memorial than I am. Degree of kinship or friendship outside the Findagave guidelines is not an issue for me. After all, they are just "guidelines."

I am aware of the Harrell line in that area, but I am sorry to say I do not know those folks. Although I feel I am related to the Jackson, La. Harrells, I cannot make the genealogical connection. If and when that happened, it would open up a lot of avenues for both lines of Harrells.

Re: Anna Aline Smith Baird
Thank you for the information on Mrs. Baird. I have amended her memorial as the result of your kindness. If you are a relative, friend of Mrs. Baird, or friend of the family of Mrs. Baird, I would be honored to transfer the memorial to you.

Sharon and Tom,
It won't let me change the Parish from West to East Feliciana. I will try to send a request.
