Bio

After leaving high school I moved to Europe for three years. I have seen the Atlantic Ocean from the shores of Omaha Beach, waded in the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas from Monte Carlo and Venice, stayed in Paris, France for a week, and have seen every castle in Germany that was on the map. I have even seen the entire world (well almost) from the highest pass in the Alps when I crossed from Switzerland to Monte Carlo.

When I left Europe I moved to Washington State just in time to encounter Mount St. Helens. There I worked as a caretaker for a recreational campground for a year.

I returned to my roots in Nebraska and went to college in 1986 and made the Dean's List every semester, graduated Phi Theta Kappa, and was nominated for the Truman Scholarship Award by my professors.

My latest adventure: learned to ride a dirtbike when I was 50 yrs old. Go me.

I love gardening and watch the blooms from early February with the 1st daffodils and grape hyacinths to December with the last of the violas and roses. Love taking pictures of them but don't have enough time.

I am trying to get my genealogy certification and love helping people on ancestry. My rule: I give anyone 48 hours for their brick wall. Love the messages I get back when I have actually found a long lost ancestor for someone.

I seriously thought I was descended from recent immigrants (as are most people in Nebraska) but found out I have roots (both maternal and paternal) all the way back to the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Amazing. All those history classes in Junior High, High School, and College paid off.

(you are welcome to use any of my pictures for any reason-I do not consider tombstone pictures copyrighted-you own them-they are your ancestors--also I will transfer anyone but my immediate family just ask--also I will gladly delete any picture that I upload if you have a better one just drop me a line and let me know)
