I am a retired college librarian/administrator, and I have been doing genealogy for over 40 years. I work on my ancestral lines as well as those of my wife. My parents were both from Southern Missouri so I have a lot of interest there, whereas my wife's family lines originated in Iowa, Michigan, New York and Vermont. Unfortunately, I have not been able to travel to the many locations where family is buried. So the Find A Grave site is a welcome assist. I create memorials for individuals having surnames that are in my ancestral lines and persons in my and my wife's family trees. I also create memorials for persons who were close friends, community person and church acquaintances. I am a Gideon and like to create memorials for Gideons who are deceased. For my family memorials I do research in order to include pertinent and accurate genealogical data. Some of the lines I work on are: Tetrick, Warden, Forth, Ballinger, Parsons, Dillinder, Herren, Urion, Payne, Adams, North, McAboy, Buck, Hayward, Luna, Bevier, Russell, Workman, Turley.

I started my professional life as a music teacher, having majored in music in college. Music has always been important to me and still is. I have directed church choirs for many years, I play both organ and piano (and a little accordion) and I currently play at a local Baptist church. I also sing in a gospel quartet and participate in other gospel music events.

Feel free to email me with suggestions or request for information. I believe family trees are to be shared!

Martha Warden Halsey
Martha was my Great Great Grandfather. I do have that Martha is buried in the Concord Cemetery by family word of mouth. Here is the "rub". Martha is listed in the Kepner Cemetery, near Urich, Henry County, Missouri where her husband is supposed to be buried. They also shown him there and that is OK.

The pictures used are original from me. I know, because I had edited them and added their names to them.

Does anyone know how we can solve that!

So there is a duplicate.

Ronald Buswell is my cousin and the above number is his Find A Grave #. When I look at his memorial, I do not see the links to his parents as do you. What am I doing wrong? Nicki

Ronald is my cousin and buried in the Buswell Cemetery near Kentland, Indiana. Could you link him to his parents, Vernon (Find A Grave # 147040997) and Leeola (Find A Grave # 147040996). Thank you for your help.

John Parsons
Memorial 57147197 for John Parsons, Graves Cemetery, Logan Co, AR...the correct death date is 2 Aug 1943.
This is the date in the book, Cemeteries of Yell Co, AR Vol III, 1994. I also went to the cemetery and checked the stone. The death date is hard to see in a photo, but I took foil and 2 Aug 1943 is the date on his stone. I could not locate a death record for him.

Thank you,

Note that he married two women named Martha. Hattie was the daughter of Martha Patrick, not Martha Jane Bean. Martha Patrick appears to have died from complications of childbirth. Her son Claude was born two months prior to her death and may have been stillborn.
