3 years ago the Elk Creek Historical Society did research on the Soldiers of Hope Cemetery. Zenas was married and was from New York State, His wife is buried there.
There is a question if he is buried in Hope Cemetery or in New York next to his wife.
Recently I found a Pennsylvania, Veterans Burial Card for Zenas Ashley Born 1763 Died Feb 18, 1840.
It is recorded that he is buried in Hope Cemetery, Wellsburg, Pa.
Zenas came here to be closer to his daughter and her husband. Please feel free to contact me and I will search through our records for more information.

|Ginger & Steve Bollinger||Infant Lasher, Venango Cemetery|
Although I have looked a couple times, I have not forgotten your request. I ran into a young lady at the cemetery today who is almost finished making a log of interments at Venango and asked about the Infant Lasher in Section 1, lot 7. She stated that burial records do indicate that the interment was made in that plot, but that there has not been a stone for some time, if there ever was one.
|Stacey Christe||Salmon Wheeler|
I've been out of research mode for the past year (wedding to plan!) but upon my return, I see there has been a beautiful headstone erected in Francis Cemetery for Salmon and Selah. How Fantastic! Do you know anything more about it? Who made this possible? I'd really like to thank them.
|Sue Cross||SAMUEL LASHER|
Supposedly there are two Samuel Lashers in Venango cemetery. The only one I could find is this picture. Odd coincidence that Samuel Philip died on 2/4/1854 and Samuel was born on 2/4/1854. Do you have any detail concerning the two Samuels ? I posted the picture with this site as the date of death on the stone looks like 2/4/1854. Please let me know if you think this is incorrect.
|Sue Cross||SARAH LASHER STONES|
I could not make out the name on the stone next to Sarah's. I have loaded a picture of it also
in hopes that you may be able to tell who it
might be. We can delete it or move it to another site if need be. Just wanted you to
make that determination.
|Lasherp||Roberl L. Lasher|
Not sure where Robert L. who I transfered today is buried but I would bet with his parents. Is Rev. Lee Pomeroy he was in charge of the services a family member.

If you'll provide me the memorial numbers of her parents, I'll make the links. Thanks!
