Lois Brainard Ellis
Nancy, Jan 22 I did an edit to attach Lois Brainard to her parents. This has not happened yet, can you help?
Also, do you have other Elis's to put in LV Rural i.e. Peleg "Pitt" Ellis and his spouse, his Father Eli and Mother, plus there are a bunch of siblings there.
Thank you, Edwin Snow

Emery Jane Remington
I have a picture of Emery! My genealogy is actually Bishop, but Bishops and Remingtons cross paths with Olive Alice Bishop and Edgar Joseph Remington. When I ran across it in my searching I grabbed it. I just have no idea what year. Your email isn't listed or I would have sent already.

Right now we are in the process of trying to find all of Edgar's kids. By the time he marries Amy Hale, he lists 3 previous marraiges. (Yikes!) One is "Alice", not sure of others. The Raymond that lives with Levi/ Lewis and Alsier 1900 census we think is actually his from one of these other marraiges. Family lore says Ray only lived until about 15. Family lore also says Alice died in childbirt or soon after, 1883-ish, a daughter named Mary?

So while hunting for these guys, I saw your profile.

Sarah Buchanan
Hi Nancy,
For Sarah's birth you have unknown date and in Ireland. How did you find out that she was born in Ireland? I have been searching for information on where exactly she was born and haven't found anything. I was hoping the death certificate might show it but being 600 miles away, it would have to wait until my next trip up to NY to look at it.
Thank you,

RE: Mildred Remington Durning
I found it! First husband's name: Syrees Remington, sons: Paul and Bruce Remington, source 1940 census. So Remington is Mildred's 1st marriage name, not maiden name. Those were the boys names, Paul and Bruce! I remember now! Bruce helped Uncle John on the farm and he married in the early 60's.

RE: Mildred Remington Durning
Not too much. She is the only wife I remember though. Aunt Mildred was very nice to us and an awesome cook. She had two sons from a previous marriage. One of them helped uncle John on the farm. He had epilepsy, if I remember correctly. I would guess he was born about 1935 and the other son was older and married with a family. I wish I could remember their names. I just checked my grandmother's book and Aunt Mildred isn't listed, only Uncle John's first wife, Lenora Eldridge and daughters Tralease and Mary Lou, it was published prior to the second marriage. Are you related? I need to do more work on this line as well. You can send me a direct email message, if you like.

RE: Robert J. Crick
Thanks, Nancy! The toughest ones are sorting out the family members who DECIDE to spell their last name six different ways. Thanks for the good work you do. Sometimes the best information I get is from cemetery records. -- Sue

Oh, I'm sorry, Nancy. I thought this message was attached to the memorial. I'm not used to this new method of offering corrections and additional information.

Robert J. Crick
Find A Grave Memorial# 131219877

The headstone is part of the memorial and very clearly, carved in stone, if you will, is his correct last name CRICKS.

His wife, Georgia E. Cricks, Find A Grave Memorial# 131219912, is correct. Her maiden name is Howland.

Their son, Edmund F. Cricks, is at Find A Grave Memorial# 131219957, if you would like to link them.

Thank you!
