RE: 141005730
You are welcome. I will check in a few weeks to see if the DOD was added. Most of the time there is no marker untill spring so I thought I would add the marker and check later.

RE: Gervise (Gervas ?) Yelk
Ha! Keith you are too funny! I got a kick out of that.

Nice find with Mr. Brigham... first white settler in Dane County. That's quite a claim to fame. Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison is only about 20 minutes away from my home. We drive by there all the time on Speedway Rd.

Thanks for the encouragement. I too am starting my genealogy trek. Luckily for me (or maybe not), most of my ancestors were not very adventurous... when they found a place that they liked they stayed there for a long time.

Merry Christmas to you. Take care, Patrick

RE: Gervise (Gervas ?) Yelk
Hi Keith,
There is a portion of the Sacred Hearts cemetery that is reserved for infants... about 3 rows of tiny head stones. I checked there first, but no Yelks.
There are a lot of Yelk headstones in this cemetery but this is the only one that came close to your request.
I am new at this. Gervise was my first find.
Take care, --Patrick

RE: Memorial# 6864995
Thanks for your comments. I've requested that her daughter be linked & also to add Maiden name to her daughter. In the process of seeing what else I can find, and then will transfer Memorial# 6864995 to you. By all means, remove any of the comments in her BIO that I've added. Her memorial was transferred to me by a now inactive contributor. Would rather have memorial in "your care".

I finally made it to the library and got a copy of the lot card. It is posted on the memorials. One of these days soon I will go to the cemetery and look for the graves. It would be awesome if there was a headstone. Anyway, I think the lot card might help with family relationships. :)
