RE: Harmeon Cissna
TRANSFERRED! And happy to do so! I'm interested in the info you have as there are Cissna's here in Pike County, Ohio that are probably connected! They were amongst the earlier settlers in Pike County in the Jasper area.

McMillin Family
Yes, I did and still do research on the McMillin family but I would rather people contact me instead of Anthony Coyan. I did not give him permission to put anything on Find A Grave. Thanks, Elaine melaine1944@gmail.com

RE: James Harvey McMillin
P. S. Yes, Murray and his family are buried in Marietta. Please look up that article and it will save you time. Emerson lived Ironton, Pomeroy, and Columbus, Ohio. He went to New York and lived several places there. He then bought a home named Darlington, see another article in the main article, and died there. He's buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, New York.

My Email is melaine1944@gmail.com if you would rather correspond that way. I'm a wealth of knowledge if I can just remember it. :-)

RE: James Harvey McMillin
Get on the McMillin Observatory site. Look for the Fighting McMillins article I added. I cut pictures from a book and that's my design.

Also, sorry to say but Andrew didn't have four daughters. His children were.

Dide W. MCMILLIN b: 1874 in Jackson Co., Ohio
Peter MCMILLIN b: 6 Jun 1867 in Jackson, Jackson County, Ohio
Bert MCMILLIN b: ABT 1869 in

Bert is Hebert. A lady was living in the house as a housekeeper named Cora Miller and Peter married her.

Milton had five children: William T., James O., Salena, Frank, and Charles. All had to be born before he left for the Civil War.

Margaret McMillin died in 1866 and she just had one daughter, Rhoda, I think. She went to live with Andrew. Her last name would be Rhodes.

Most all the rest moved away and Emerson was the rich one of the family. He's really the one I've been doing my research about. I know scads about him.

RE: James Harvey McMillin
Which other brother? This is getting exciting for me. I doubt if there are any close relatives in Jackson. They would have to be distant. Have you looked at the McMillin Observatory site on Internet by Carl Wenning? I have added several sideline articles to it. I must have lost my mind because I surely went overboard doing Emerson's children. I'm working on the brothers and sisters now. I can't understand the children article and I wrote it. Hope I do better with his brothers and sisters. Maybe the other brother was Milton. He died just a few days after coming home from the war. Another question, are there any other McMillins buried close by. Thanks for your help. Harvey has been hiding from me. Elaine

James Harvey McMillin
Hi: I've been researching the McMillin family for at least 25 years. I see you have a grave listed for James Harvey McMillin in Fairmount Cemetery. It said he had been moved from Salem Cemetery. Is there any paperwork as to why or who authorized the move? Also, there are pictures of two monument. I can't read the top of the square monument. Can you give me help of what it says. I really thank you for any help. It is greatly appreciated. Elaine Winkler

What an amazing service. Thanks so much. It's especially moving when it's a young child. Linda
