cole Family Cemetery Photos
Hi Jeanne,
You have some lovely photos of Elisha Cole Jr.'s marker at the Cole Family Cemetery in Mahopak. Do you remember if there were other markers with names visible? I have a couple of other Cole ancestors that are buried there. I'd like to request photos for them when spring roles around, but if the markers are all so old that the names are obscured then it would be a wasted trip for someone.
P.S. The other names were: Elisha Cole Sr (1719-1801), wife, Hannah (Smalley) Cole (1720-1811), Joseph Cole (1743-1811/4) and wife, Rebeccah Cole (1752-1801)

RE: Kent Cliffs Baptist Cemetery
THANK YOU. That's the one. It's got the Chadwicks in it. YAHOO. Now if I could only figure out where it is. It says its on a hill - maybe it is out in the woods someplace.

Thanks a million

RE: Kent Cliffs Baptist Cemetery
The cemetery I was in is listed as Kent Cliffs Baptist on findagrave, but I don't think it is. I was there looking for relatives of relatives of relatives, who live in Texas, so can't just jump in the car and look for themselves. The people's obituaries say they were buried at Kent Cliffs Baptist. I covered most of the graves and found none of them. I mean, zip, zilch, none. If you go to google, it appears to put you out in middle of nowhere when it gives you directions. If you use the google earth feature, you find absolutely nothing. Since these aren't really my relatives, I've never followed up on it. But if you want to try, I recommend you call the Putnam County Historian, who is listed online as being at 68 Marvin Avenue, Brewster - (845) 278-7209. When I was still frustrated about not finding the right place, I looked on line & it said the historian had listings for the cemeteries, so probably knows where it is. Meanwhile, if you ever find out where it is, please let me know. Then we'll have to figure out how to get findagrave to relabel the cemetery that's online with the correct name. The one they have labeled as Kent Cliffs now is actually the Second Kent Baptist church.

Walter Immel

I walked the Loundon Park Cemetery today and did not locate a headstone for Walter Immel. I have a copy of section X's burial plan and the spot where I feel Walter should be buried has no stone. Please contact the front office and see if they can give you the names of any other families buried around Walter's grave site. I will use this information to better pin point where Walter is buried. I have a photo of the spot where I feel he is buried. If you want me to upload this photo, I will. Let me know what you want to do.

Take care,

Robert Drexler

RE: Eliza Witpen
Hello Jeanne - I am very sorry that I don't have any information on this family. I sometimes just add pictures of stones at Green-Wood cemetery or I take pictures when people ask me. If you need any other pictures just let me know. Best, Cara
