Bio Photo My name is not really Nick O'Brien, that's the name of one of my ancestors from the Irish branch of the family.

I have been working the past 4+ years to add info about relatives and in-laws where I can find them here, and to add new records, if possible, when I can't find them here.

If you're more closely related to one of my entries than I am, let me know!

RE: Civil War Veterans
Please do keep Charles Ruby memorial. I am not a relative. Thank you for giving me the information on John W. Ruby. I visited Stones River Battlefield this past June. What a difficult battle. 90% woods, cannons and rifle fire must have been hell for the boys. The Devil's Den was a slaughter field. You have to give credit to all who fought there. A bloody mess for both sides.

I am not a relative. I am a researcher for the Rantoul, Illinois Historical Society. I am cataloging all of the Veterans buried in Champaign County, Illinois and other locations. If you would like to transfer the account to me, I will accept. Thank you.

Thanks. Still would like to know what data you used so I can consider or disregard in my future searches. Lisa

Unfortunately I haven't verified Margaret Ruby Dodge's father. Her mother is Millie A. Ruby/Holt/Canning/Compton/Morgan (I know!) I have not located her death/burial info so cannot link Margaret to her. I believe that Horace's wife Lucinda is not her mother. Do you have any sources showing their relationship.

Could you please tell me who linked Margaret Ruby Dodge 26431608 as the daughter of Horace Ruby? I am Margaret's ggrand daughter. I have not yet determined her father. It may be Horace Ruby but his wife, Lucinda, is not her mother. I tried to delete the parental memorial numbers from Margaret's memorial but was not allowed by Find A Grave. Help? Thanks, Lisa Rhodes

RE: Bishop
I do but it is a common name. My Bishop family came from Fulton County, IL and ties in with the Krider, Southard and Swearingen families.

Glad I could help. You probably noticed that I added memorials and photos for Robert's parents, William and Henrietta. I'd be glad to transfer these memorials to you if you'd like them.
