Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been facinated by the stories cemeteries tell for a long time and have been researching my family history for over 20 years. I love taking pictures and I am happy to share any photos I have posted. If you are related, I'd love to hear from you to share "our" family. If you would like transfers from any memorials I might have added, please feel free to ask. I believe that the more we share the better we all benefit.

You are very welcome Carrie. My parents are also buried in this cemetery so it wasn't a problem. Take care, James Dudley, Maysville, Oklahoma

Thank you Carrie! I drove through that area looking for the cemetery and my gps took me on a wild goose chase down some dirt roads so I never found the cemetery. I appreciate you fullfilling my request.

Photo of Dr. Joseph Guy's gravesite
During research on my great-great-great-great-grandmother Millie Guy (1810-1878) born a slave in Raleigh, N.C., and her sons Baldy Guy (1841-1911) & George Guy (1845-1928) born slaves in Tuscumbia, Alabama, I discovered that they were owned by a slavemaster named Dr. Joseph Guy who moved with his slaves from North Carolina to Tuscumbia, Aalabama in 1825.

I think this is the same Dr. Joseph Guy because it has been told that after he died his son Albert Guy took over ownership of them.

Please send me a photo of his grave site and any other information you might have. My name and phone number is listed below:

RE: Crooked Oak
Carrie,

I emailed findagrave with the map information and they have changed the one that was put in Franklin County to Colbert also. Now if we could just get all the duplicates taken off. Thanks for your help.

RE: Crooked Oak
Carrie,

Do you think you might move the photos you posted in the Franklin one over to the Colbert County one. I'm going to see what I can do about having the other one taken off since most of the listings are duplicates and in one that does not exist.

Thank you, Molly

Ps If you take a look at the entries in the correct one, there are soooo many duplicates!
