Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in Genealogy all my life. I had a grandmother McDonald who loved to tell stories, however I am the only one who did anything with them. I got really serious in 1969 when we moved from CA home to KS and I could visit with some of the great aunts. I have a Bonesbuddy who loves to travel with me. We have been from coast to coast tracking bones...Now it seems everything is on computer however I still love to get out and go to libraries, court house's and cemeteries. I am enjoying working with find a grave. I had three children, four grandchildren and four great grands.

RE: Twila Schultz
Thank you for your gracious message. I have added few memorials because, fortunately for me, most all of the family members I am working with already have established memorials. I have only recently begun transferring memorials,in part, because the original creator of many of the memorials is no longer managing, and management has reverted to Find A Grave. Also, I don't feel I should be burdening those who are trying to manage umpteen memorials with all of my updates on my relatives. Believe me, I thought long and hard before I decided to take on more memorials; it can be a big job. Once again, appreciation for your work.
The local genealogy club I belong to (hundreds of miles from any family grave) has recorded over a thousand graves. I've had the great honor of crawling on my hands and knees on dirt and rocks, dodging cactus, while feeling with my fingers for the outline of an eroded inscription. You're right. It is fun!

I will go back over to the museum sometime this week and see what I can find out about this. I have other people who want to know also. I just checked Long View cemetery and there is only 1 burial listed there now. In addition to Baughman, Ligett, Bruhns, and possibly Jones are buried in Prairie View.. I will go ahead and post their pictures now that they have been moved. Thanks.

Someone else sent me the info that I added to their memorials. I am not related so I don't know who are their parents. Are you sure as I don't want problems with the oher person?

I was just over to the Prairie View cemetery this morning, and I photographed a headstone for this individual and his wife. He is not buried in Long Creek cemetery, he is definitely buried in Prairie View cemetery. I don't know if they changed the name of this cemetery, but Coffey county has no record of a Long Creek cemetery either. I have photos of the stone, and I don't want to create a duplicate memorial for him in Prairie View cemetery. I don't know if you can change the memorial of what. I will wait till I hear from you. Thanks
