You are so very welcome! Do you know who her parents were? There were two people buried in her plot but all that on their stones were "Mary" and "John". No last names. Just wondering if they were related.

CHC
Hi! I see you have a photo request for Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland Maryland. I'm taking a trip there soon and I'm planning on trying to fulfill as many requests as I can. Since this cemetery is so large (about 80,000 graves) it would help to have the section and plots of the burials. I have spoken to Carmelita Walker from CHC. She said she can't give locations of these sites to me since I'm not related but she said if you call her at 301-568-5400 & tell her that you're a relative (or think you may be!) she can give it to you. She said there's no charge for this information. If you could get the info soon (by 9/6) that would be great! If you are no longer interested in fulfilling the request for whatever reason, just let me know too so I can cross it off my list. Thanks!

Follow-up concerning Alber Aylor
Dear Jeanne Lipscomb,

First, please consider adsding back the obit to your pages with an attribution. I believe we are all served by that.

Second, is it possible you have any photos relating to the Aylor or Carpenter families in and around Haywood, Virginia? We are missing, for example, any photos showing Albert Aylor's furniture shop (inside or outside). Nor do we have any photos of Aylor as a younger man.

If you had any photos that might be in these arenas, could you scan them (no quality required at this point) and send them our way? If we determine that they are relevant, we could discuss some arrangement to have them professionally copied and made available to the world. Again, our goal is to make the most comprehensive and best-documented collection of Aylor and family so that the story of this remarkable man is preserved.

Your thoughts?

George

RE: Follow-up on your comments
Dera Jeannie,

This is a good decision. You can use the obituary and the Aylor portrait that you used before; pleasde just add an attribution on the page where you use them. For instance, the attribution might say, "Copyrighted images used courtesy of ALBERTAYLOR.COM" Our goal is to guard against mis-use as well as to spread the word about the remarkable man that Aylor obviously was.

Best!

Follow-up on your comments
Dear Ms. Lipscomb,

Thanks for your comments and for sharing the excitement you felt when you came across some of what we assembled. Let me again suggest that you use some of the work we have done on your pages - just please with attribution to the work of the folks at ALBERTAYLOR.COM. I believe our shared goal is to keep important memories alive for others to enjoy and marvel at; that was certainly the intent behind what we've done. If, after a bit of reflection, you want to do that, let's discuss how to make it happen.
Best,
George Beker
