I am an 8th Generation Lazarin or Lazarine decendant. With the help of many others we have been able to accomplish finding names of some of the earler generations names and place of burial.
The Old Lazarine Cemetery is now a registered Historical Land Mark of the State of Texas.

RE: Lazarin Cemetery
Thanks, Ginger. Yes, I do recall that for a time it was impossible to enter the cemetery and that vandals had used many of the headstones for target practice (I believe this is how some of the headstones for some of my ancestors have been lost permanently). My great great great grandfather Eugenio Mendoza is buried there as is my great great grandmother Maria Encarnacion Cabrera Guzman de Maissiat. Her granddaughter had a new tombstone made since she knew the location of the original grave, but used the last name "Massiatte" on her tombstone which is anachronistic because in documents from Mexico that I have found, this mis-spelling of "Maissiat" was not used until after her death and mostly in the records of her son Jose Victoriano [aka Victor] (the progenitor of Massiatte's in the USA).

Thank you for the insight regarding access and how the name "Calaveras Cemetery" possibly prevents blocking access to the cemetery since the county erected it.

Lazarin Cemetery in Calaveras, Wilson County, Texas
Dear Ginger,
The cemetery that now bears the name of "Calaveras Cemetery" due to the erection of a sign with that name also was known as the "Lazarin Cemetery" over 100 years ago. I have several relatives buried there (although not of Lazarin descent myself, several of my cousins are) and family folklore suggests that those Lazarin's who settled in Calaveras after leaving Nacogdoches originally owned this plot of land that became the cemetery bearing the family name.

I am not sure if you already were aware of this, but thought that you might be interested in it and perhaps be able to follow up on finding documents that support the local folklore from people who have lived in the area for over a century.
Sincerely,
James Epperson

I recorded from several different burial sources. I believe these are marked graves. I always indicate if a record says it is unmarked.

RE: Lazarine Cemetery
Thank you for the information. This is the reason I try to put unknowns in. So they would have a name to them. Wish I could connect all of my Unknowns.

The contributor messed up her first name. He has it listed as Rosane but it is Rosalie. I have asked him to correct this issue. But I think you should also send a correction to make sure it happens. I will add a link to both memorials so you may se them. Also I will Request that they be connected to there parents.
