RE: Gertrud Glanig
I guess I'm a bit dense this morning, Connie. I can't find a Gertrud Hess or a Gertrud Glanig. Please send me the memorial # so I can see what exactly needs to be done.

Gravestone Photo Permission (MS/LA)

I am happy to see that you photographed some Alford gravestones in Osyka Cemetery:

Dora Anglin Alford - Memorial# 37227671
Jessie B. Alford - Memorial# 36960330
Mildred Cutrer Alford - Memorial# 37227773

I would like to add these gravestone photos to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of Louisiana Obituaries, where their obituaries are (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, I will add this to the photo caption:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—
Permission granted by the photographer, Connie Raborn

Incidentally, your email address bounced:

Thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)

Thank you for letting me know that the death information has been added to the headstone. If you can provide me with the info I will be happy to add it to her memorial.

Osyka Cemetery Gravestones

Thanks so much for taking the time to photograph the three headstones. Margaret Adaliza is a long-lost aunt of mine. There are some Raborns in her family tree, stemming from Edward Leroy Raborn. Are you related?

This is a very nice community service that you are doing, and one that I try to pay forward when I can.

Would you have any objection if I copied these photos onto my tree?

Thanks again, Steve Barneby

RE: Oetting in St. John's Cem.
I was glad that I could be of assistance. I am happy to assist anyone with their search of cemeteries for family history. If you need any other photos in the Warren or Franklin county area I will try to help you.
Have a Great Week.
