Bio Photo "Show me [how you care for] your cemeteries and I will tell you what kind of people you have."
Benjamin Franklin

-
All of my ancestors for at least six generations are from Fentress county Tennessee. I have a great deal of interest in the history of that area.
Some family names are: WINNINGHAM, ATKINSON, COOPER, WRIGHT, CONATSER, MASSINGILL, BEATY, HOOVER, KING, ROBBINS, YOUNG.
I would love to have old family photos and would be glad to share mine!
I have found many cousins here on Find a Grave and would like to meet more.

"If I didn't have those people back there, I would never have had anything to write about. That's where I got all my stories from. My life is from them. … I'm going to do everything to keep up for them, in memory. That is my duty from now until I die."
- Author Ernest J. Gaines explaining why he takes care of an old cemetery on the former plantation where five generations of his ancestors, going back to slavery, are buried.

RE: McKee Cemetery
Casey, I'm from Terre Haute but my Maners family all came from Owen Co. I hit old cemeteries all over Indiana. Just a love that I have.

McKee Cemetery
Casey. I have removed the duplicate memorials I made. I'm so sorry, I didn't know they were already listed. So, is the McKee Cemetery the same as the Barnes Cem. or was I in the wrong cemetery? Thanks for pointing out the duplicates. Vada
