|C. Wayne Austin||James C. Epps birth date|
Sorry to bother you again but I see on the stone the birth date is Mar 28, 1836. Your record which say unknown on Findagrave can be fixed to read Mar 28, 1836 for James Creighton Epps birth date. I also have that date on my FTW records
|C. Wayne Austin||Hepsey Jane Epps Eakes|
For Hepsey Jane Epps Eakes you have displayed a memorial stone for Dovie wife of W.W. Eakes. Was she called Dovie or what are the details of that?
Hi, Just sent picture of Addie's Stone to Find-A-Grave. BTW, I noticed picture you have for Bettie is quite different from stone I photgraphed today which actually shows the name, "Bettie". Let me know if you want it.
Unity records show a "Joseph Epps, D 8 Jan 1892, aged 42 Years" buried at Unity. This is based on obituary but no stone exists.
I wondered if you were related to Joe Dan Epps who lived in the Howell area when I was growing up there.

Hi. Sorry it took so long to get the photos, but we made three trips and had to clean the tombstones for the pictures. I also have photos that you did not request but they were all in the Epps section. The names did not match up either (Hepsey's tombstone says Dovie), so you will have to go by dates of birth and/or death.
Could not find a tombstone for Elizabeth Epps (but B.E., maybe Baby Epps?) was found right next to Dovie's on the left. To the right was Edd Eakes. I have a photo of his if needed. Also, Lois Kent Epps and a Grace Lee, daughter of Dovie and R.H. Eakes. Born 3/14/1892, died 10/8/1899.
Nancy's date of birth was 9/16/1808.
The picture may not be clear enough to read, but the bottom of Bettie's marker reads, "Remember me as you pass by, as you are now so once was I. As I am no so soon you shall be. Prepare for death and follow me".
Let me know if you want the other pictures and I will email them to you. Thanks.

I noticed you've requested photos of Whitlocks at Edgemont in Anniston. Are you related to the family? I'm looking for someone to help me verify that I've sorted out the names correctly. James Henry Whitlock married Mary Philips, daughter of Joel Philips, my 2gr grandfather. Mary Philips Whitlock is buried there with a lot of empty space around her. I have family information, and am willing to share. Please contact me if you know about the Whitlocks. Thanks.

You are very welcome. I have taken several Davis' buried there but don't know if they may be connected to your family. I enjoy helping anyone find and preserve their family history.

I may very well have taken her husband if he is buried w/her. I always take any others w/the requested in case they are wanted and didn't know they are there. I will ck on it and not sure about the other name but if I dont have it already I will make it for you. I have a hugh number of graves I have taken there. Everytime I go I make a few hundred. It is a very large cemetery...don't know if you have been to it or not.
