I am a certified researcher and I have done family genealogy and genealogy for others for 55 years. I do have a complete photo collection of cemeteries in Keokuk County Iowa, taken when I lived there. They are not online because I have not put them here yet. If you have interest in the memorials that I posted you may contact me. These are my family and if you are related I would like to hear from you.

Hillery Stokes
Hillery Stokes is my son's 4th great-grandfather -- Sarah Jane Stokes/Martha Jane Davis/Opal Mae Cooper/Elmer Franklin Geary/Elmer Franklin Geary, Jr./Philip David Geary/Philip David Geary, Jr. I would love to see whatever materials you indicated you might have on this branch of the family and, in turn, I would be pleased to provide you with any info I can. Thank you!

There are 2 memorials for Parks Brittain. I believe yours was added last. What is the procdure in this case?

RE: Robert T. Brush of Buffalo NY
I just added good closeups of Samuel and Fanny's stones to Robert's memorial page, so you should be able to read them now.

I will post the pics at Robert's site when I get the chance. The stones will give you Samuel's and Fanny's birth and death years to add to your file. If you run across any other Buffalo pictures you need, just let me know and I'll do what I can.

Would you like me to add them to Robert's page or do you have a page for them?

We're glad to help. We just live a few miles away from the cemetery, so it's an easy trip for us.

Buried on either side of Robert were Samuel and Fanny, who we think must be his parents. I took photos of their stones as well. Let me know if you would like copies of them. I think it's great that you are doing your family tree for your great-grandson.

Parks Britton/Brittain
Parks is to have been buried on October 6, 1846. He may have died and been buried the same day. In those days the remains would have been kept in the home where they died as there was no mortuary, especially at the date Parks died because the county had barely opened up for settlement.
