Cleveland Calvary Request
Just a friendly mid June reminder that we need plot info to fill your Cleveland Calvary request(s). We have less than 500 requests left but plot info for only 6% of those, having already filled the rest with plot info. We can't ask for plot info for more than 3 requests per week. Please call (216) 641-7575 and obtain plot info. We'd really appreciate it and will fill your request(s) soon after getting plot info. Thank you!

Not trying to nag, just FYI that we've cleared over 200 requests this spring and now have 626 requests—fewer than there were in June, 2012. We'd be happy to clear your request(s) but some/all do not have plot information. Please call (216) 641-7575 and obtain plot information. We most likely already have a plot map but will let you know once we have plot info if we also need a map. Thanks!

You've put in a request at Calvary in Cleveland. I'm starting to plan a trip there in the spring or late winter. With 400,000 burials and 300 acres, if you can obtain plot location AND a plot map from the office (unless it's posted here: I can try to take the photo when I go in the spring. Phone number is: (216) 641-7575

You can try to tell them you'll be visiting when they're closed, etc. I know one person who they mailed a plot map to. If you get one let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. Without this info you're sadly unlikely to get it filled. If I can get info for many it will be worth the 25 minute trip to try to cut down the 759 requests.

Julius Eastman
I can't help anymore than LMac did. I went to the cemetery and found the large headstone with 3 smaller ones and also one for Mary Ellen Eastman (not in the same area of the cemetery). But then when I was going to post them they were already there. I think the posting is the best anyone can do. Let me know if I can be of any other assistance but I don't want to redo what someone else has already done.

I just added a photo for Julius a few days ago. The plot that he is buried in has one large headstone for his daughter and three smaller stones. One has the daughter's initials on it and the other two have no markings that I can see or even feel by running my fingers over the stones. What kind of photo are you wanting?

Hi! I was taking other pic requests at Greenwood Cemetery today, and any marker I walk by that has military service on it, I snap a pic to post. I found you already created a memorial, so I added pics of the grave to your memorial.

Find a Grave request
Every now and then, we mistakenly take photos of memorials that were claimed by someone else. I have just posted some pictures of Ms. Eberling that I took today. I have sent an apology to the person who claimed your request. I will delete the photo's if requested by the other volunteer. In the mean time, you might want to save them or if you like, I can email you high resolution copies. I didn't mean to encroach, but I had several requests on my list for Quantico today and mistakenly added Barbara to my list.
It is a beautiful and peaceful area in Quantico and my wife and I love to visit.
We always leave two flags at each memorial and always feel honored to do this service.

kind regards,
