I was born and bred in South Carolina, but I moved to the San Fernando Valley in California after college. True to my father's prediction, I met a California boy, a SFValley native, and have lived here ever since.|
Genealogy has fascinated me since I was a little girl and discovered the bottom drawer of our beautiful antique secretary where my mother stashed both her family's and my father's family's photos and papers. I'm blessed that boths sides of my family were "savers" & "keepers" because it has provided me with a rich basis for my knowledge of who & where I came from. However, nothing was preserved/protected or cataglogued, and, fortunately, I began that process when my parents were able to help me attach names to photos and make some sense of the family line.
While in college and working on my family tree chart into the wee hours one morning, I discovered that my parents' lines connected several generations back, making them 8th cousins! I was hooked and have enjoyed finding out many other interesting pieces and connections along the way.
Even outside of my own family lines, I love to stroll old cemeteries, and when traveling, will often make a detour if one is anywhere near. I'm fairly new to FindAGrave, but am grateful to all those whose contributions before me have assisted me in my searches so much. I try to pay it forward.

You are welcome on the transfers. I know that you will take care of them and that I can trust you with them. I have added you as a friend so we can keep in touch....

Hey Susan. Do you want me to transfer the Gano memorials to you? (John and Sarah) You can make the changes. Let me know what you want to do. If you do then do a transfer request.
|Jean||RE: Charles Kennon Henderson 37482082|
Glad to do the transfer for you. I also transferred Grace Henderson's memorial to you. I am not related. If you have any other family members at Greenwood, I will be glad to try to find them. May take a while though...it is a big place.

Hey Susan. You are welcome and it was my honor in serving this great nation. Being in Greenville, SC was one of the best years of my life. When I left Greenville I was very homesick....:-( I remember going to see the play "Ceasar" at Bob Jones and then watching "Handel's Messiah" at the Rodeheaver Auditorium. Now for the Gano mystery. I was told by a couple of people to make corrections about Sarah Gano. Now this is the third request for correction. I am a bit confused and need your clarification on this. I would need your help in this matter. Thanks in advance.

I have made the transfers you requested. Sorry it took so long, I was behind on processing requests & going away for the weekend put me further behind. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

Hi, thank you for the information. I just recently got out of the hospital so I will start adding it as soon as I start to feel better, and I am so glad I could help you make the connection.
