|All readable stones set before May 2011 in the Rock Springs Cemetery have been uploaded. Many burials do not have markers at all. Many stones are unreadable, some stones are entirely in languages that I do not read. Ludvigsen section, in particular, has stones in Japanese that I have not had luck with translation. I can generally figure out stones that are in Romance languages and have made my best attempt at translation.|
I have no kin in the Rock Springs cemetery. If one of my listings is kin to you, feel free to request a transfer. It is my goal to transfer every memorial to kin before I end up in the cemetery :-) If you find errors or have additional information, please send it along through the Edit tab at the top right of the memorial page.
The city of Rock Springs has a listing available at:
Scroll to the bottom of the page to download "Burial Report Excel" (easier to use) or "Burial Report PDF" (use this if you have nothing that will open Excel files). The city listing is neither accurate nor complete, I've photographed hundreds of stones that are not in that listing. The city is in the process of re-mapping the entire cemetery. I have also provided them with information on stones that are not listed.

Thanks so much for adding the edits I sent for my McIntosh and Chance relatives. I appreciate it. -phairmason
I can't find anything about Tom in the digitized newspapers.
Had been hopeful as the surname is shared by an African American in Cheyenne who served on the Tom Horn jury--Charles. Mary, Charles' wife, is buried in Cheyenne but I can't find Charles.
Charles is not Tom. He lived longer. PERHAPS a sibling.
A few months ago we had a conversation about a baby Pivk. I finally found the parents. 14 In memory of / LOJZIKI PIVK / 22 * April 1912 + 23 May 1912 / Mourning stariši
15 Here resting a brother / FRANK JOHN Piuk and Piuk
Frank was born October 4 1889
John was born on May 10 1891
Died February 12 1914 in the coal tunnel in Superior Wyo.
Be them mild memory
The above is some information, the baby is next to Frank Piuk (Pivk) he is the father. The mother is Louise (Aloisia) Skok. There is not a birth record or death record of the child. The only record that I can find is in St Cyril and Methodius Church in Rock Springs. The record is the baptism record. It lists both parents.
