I live close to the Family Research Center in SLC, and have used that great resource. Our recent genealogy research has found two more generations to early 1700's. Our place searches at the Family History Library show the following towns: 1735-36 Birth in Germany for Christian Steigers Just can't seem to find his hometown. 1759-1770 Hervorst/Asperden, Cleve, Germany 1770-1813 Hervorst/Goch, Cleve, Germany 1813-1821 Materborn, Germany 1821-1847 Niel/Mehr, Germany 1847 Apr 15 Departed Rotterdam, Netherlands 1847 Jun 7 Arrived New Orleans port (~53days) 1847 Up the Mississippi to Rhineland, Missouri 1913-1917 Burley, Idaho
In 2010 I photographed in SLC,UT Burley & Lewiston ID, OKC, and Rhineland Mo. In 2011 I revisited the Rhineland cemeteries and a distant family (Struttmann) reunion.
If you are an active Findagrave member, there are about 1000 entries that are related to you, not me, I was just the photographer. Please use the memorial "edit" function and suggest change if you like me to update information, and please include the FAG# for the change requested. FAG Transfer Policy: Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Bulk surname requests should not be made.
In advance let me say: Thanks for the update, all have been posted. If we are also souls providing community service, thank you for your great service. If you are related to this person, let me know. | |

 | RE: Gerhard Weibring You are absolutely correct. They both did marry Korman's. Lottie married Joseph and Amelia married John. I was looking at the wrong sheet of paper. It was Joseph's daughter Lucy that married an Eikel. I apologize for the error. | | | Langevin
