Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have my sister to thank for my interest in genealogy. She did most of the work, which is the foundation for my research. I've simply been trying to fill in the gaps the past several years. But I have been able to make some discoveries of my own in the Browning line. I'm also interested in Preston, Maddox, Simmons, Finney, Mackey, Moody and Barfield families of central Georgia primarily. I'm grateful to all who take the time to go out and take photos of grave sites and to those who build the memorials. I have discovered innumerable dates in my family timelines through the work transcribed here on Findagrave.com.

Evergreen Cemetary
Was in Fitzgerald last week and attempted to locate the gravesites for you. Evergreen is layed out in streets and not lots and sections. Paulk Funeral home manages the cemetary and you have to go to the funeral home for assistance in locating the grave sites and it really is a process! They have an ancient canvas roll the size of a king size bed with all the plots printed on it and a computerized data base with the names. They were really nice and took time to help me locate some family graves but it took forever once we got to the cemetary. It was hot and muggy and we didn't locate many graves. Plan to go back when it is cooler and I will try again to find your graves. Sorry......

Edith Wyolene Finney
Mack ... I have left the memorial for Wyolene and added an explanation about the marker with no burial at Red Apple Cemetery, to avoid future confusion. Thanks for making this correction.
