Shockoe Hill Cemetery ~ Richmond
Forgive my intrusion, but I'm trying to clean up the photo requests at Shockoe Hill Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. Reply not necessary, I'm just pointing out that there's a problem report from the cemetery committee that solicits a response from you. Thanks.

RE: Edwin Perry Wilkinson
You are very welcome! His wife Willie Sykes Equen Wilkinson was the daughter of Elizabeth Augusta Murdock Sykes Cox, who along with three other ladies in Columbus, MS recognized in the Library of Congress as the first to decorate graves of soldiers after the Civil War leading to the beginning of Memorial Day. The recognition is a pretty big deal around here.
