RE William Widener
A relative of the Widner (notice the different spelling of the last name) family added this site for William Widener. There were several spellings of the family name, but Widner is what is on his tombstone. Please check site for William Jefferson Widner and you will find this individual with the spelling of the last name that is on the tombstone and a photo of the stone. Sorry I am so late answering your request. The lady who created the Widener (with another "e")and I have merged these sites and she will delete hers. She will also link daughter Ida--I added her to Bio but couldn't link. Also if you added the flower memorial, it will need to be put on this site (Widner). Thank you for your interest in Greenwood Cemetery.

****FIND A GRAVE will not allow this photo( which I now have set as my profile photo) to be placed in the photo area of memorials. Why? Because Find A Grave feels it is not an image that is personally attached to the deceased.
I as a wife of a Veteran and the grandmother of an active soldier feel the USA FLAG is personally attached to every veteran, after all they fought to defend it and served under this "image" IF that is not a personal attachment to the deceased veteran, then what is folks? So to the veteran's families who I had include this flag of HONOR to their memorial it was NOT removed by me but by Find A Grave. I am truely sorry that we can't show the image of our American Flag, that Veterans proudly served under, at half mask which is a sign of the quality of being thankful, appreciation for and to honor them.
I shot the photo at the Jacksonville National Cemetery as the US Flag is only at half mask Mon -Friday when a Veteran is being laid to rest. No copywrite was broken as I am the owner of photo.

RE: Columbus Bobbitt
If I understand you correctly, you are saying there are two Columbus's buried here with the same dates but with different surname spelling? If so, I will check it out the next time I visit KY Ridge. My relatives are buried there also.

RE: Roy B Bobbitt - Elmwood Cemetery, Lancaster, OH
Yes, Roy has a headstone beside Mary. I photographed it as well and will fulfill your request for his headstone's picture when I get close to my computer. Thank you!

RE: Roy B Bobbitt - Elmwood Cemetery, Lancaster, OH
Hi Dana - I think I've confused you.

Mary appears to buried next to Roy at ELMWOOD Cemetery not Maplewood Cemetery as her memorial suggests. Elmwood Cemetery is where I took the picture of Mary's headstone. There is no memorial for Mary at Elmwood. You requested the photo for Mary at Maple Grove Cemetery but, if this is the same Mary, that memorial needs deleted and another created at Elmwood.

There is a military marker for a David Bobbit in the same cemetery (Elmwood) as Roy and Mary. This might be the same Roy you are speaking about. If you run a search using the last name 'Bobbitt' at the Elmwood cemetery in Lancaster, Ohio, you will find his memorial and picture.

If you would like to create a memorial for Mary at Elmwood and request the photo, I will gladly post the picture of her gravestone. Thnx - Jim

Roy B Bobbitt - Elmwood Cemetery, Lancaster, OH
Hi Dana - I just found and photographed Roy's gravesite about an hour ago ... When I pulled up his memorial, I noticed that Mary is listed as his wife but her memorial is in Maple Grove Cemetery ... There is a Mary Bobbitt that has a monument beside Roy but she was born 32 years before him in 1866 (died in 1952). Is this his wife?

I photographed her gravestone as well... Do u want to create the memorial and request the photo so I can post it?

Let me know - Jim
