RE: Celia Enyart, Saxton, Anthony Parker
Hi Beth,

Thanks so much for the compliment on our pics. I so appreciate that!!

It is hard to keep track of the tombstones, and which ones have had pics taken. I usually take more than one, then pick the best one. Is really harder than you would think to get the whole tombstone in the pic sometimes. The sun can really fool you, and make it hard to tell what you are taking pics of. Cemeteries get really hot, too, but I love doing it. I prefer to take pics on cloudy days.

So nice about your getting information added for your children. There are some really nice people on Findagrave.

I wondered why Celia was buried at Phillips and her husband elsewhere, but you are probably right about who decided. Must have been the best at the time.

Have a wonderful weekend.

You are welcome, Beth,

I had a similar feeling for Celia when I was working on her page.
Then I felt bad that we missed her tombstone the first time we took pics at Phillips. Is so easy to miss a few, but I try not to.

Take Care,

Hi Beth,
So interesting about your visits to Phillips.
I understand about wishing for more stories.

My husband's 2nd grandparents were John Luther and Rebecca Herron. They are buried on the South side of Phillips. John Luther is listed as "Herring or Herron", on findagrave, because some offshoots of the family use Herring, but our side uses Herron.

By transferring, I meant that I now have control of everything on the memorial page of Celia, but I can transfer that control over to you, and you would be the custodian of it. Not a big deal, just means you can make changes, if you want.

Have a great day.

I got confused.
I was talking about the Ridings Cemetery nearby. The Phillips Cemetery is very well cared for and well trimmed. I was visiting the grave of my 3rd great grandparents and some of their sons there, and forgot which cemetery I took the Woods photos in.

Hi Beth,
You are very welcome. Glad to do it.
Is such a pretty cemetery. Very isolated and peaceful!! Well taken care of, though.

We went to Phillips first to take pics of my husband's 2nd great grandfather & grandmother's tombstone, but ended up taking all of them. We went back last week, to retake them all, getting better pics of several, and some that we managed to miss the first time. Celia was one of those, I believe.

We don't live in the area, several miles away.

I would be glad to transfer Celia to you, if you wish, just let me know.

Best Wishes,

RE: John Wood Photograph
My 2nd great grandparents and two of their sons are burried in the same cemetery, I was stopping by there anyway & was actually quite suprised to see a request when I checked. For such a small and unattended cemetery, there are some nice stones in good condition. Really, other than perpetually tall grass and a few stones toppled by deer, it isn't in all that bad of shape and could probably be made quite presentable with a day or two work from a few volunteers. I'm not sure who the contact would be for permission or how they would feel about it, but it is on my "list of things I ought to see about someday".

William H. Saxton
His son William H. married Julia Parker, daughter of Peter Parker.

They had one daughter Ethel Rae who married Isaac Green Wood and had 4 children, one of them being my father Richard Alvan Wood.

Memorials flowers
I just remembered that on the flower you made for Rev. William H. Saxton you signed it using his name. You should use your name not the person who the memorial is for. The way you have it now it looks like he left a message to himself. Just thought I would mention this for future reference. Have a nice day, Marla M. from MO.

Rev. William H. Saxton
I do have the names of his children with his wife Celia Ann Enyart.

They are Vina P. born 1856

Edna J. born 1857

Ada E. born !859

and my ggrandfather William H. Saxton.

I am not sure and can't find information on why he died so young.
